A king’s favour is like the wind: his anger is like lightning.
Poem
The willow is very leafy
But I wouldn’t rest under it.
The king is very bright
Don’t get too close to him!
Question his words
And he’ll kill you on the spot.
Meditation
There is a right way to grow – just as a tree does,
obeying the law of Tao.
Around you, life swirls and trembles.
It can seem so exciting, by the dangers are great.
Be like the willow,
which bends when the wind blows, and so survives.
