Water & Metal
Proverb
Be as careful in choosing pleasures as in avoiding disasters.
Poem
Those who go against Heaven
Sink to ruin together
As sure as the water runs from a spring.
Rise early, sleep late
Shine and sweep your floor
Set a fine example to others.
Keep your chariots and horses in order,
Your bows, arrows, other such weapons
Pulled taut, ready for war.
Meditation
The Tao – the Way – is the true path or course of nature.
In ancient China this was also expressed as the Way of Heaven – the Heavenly Tao.
This has a more moral, ethical dimension to it that the Tao,
which has a spiritual connotation.
So look to the moral and ethical basis of your life and follow the Tao of Heaven.
