Yang & Yang
Proverb
Soldiers to a minister are like ants to a boy.
Poem
Minister of War,
We are the king’s sharp claws
Why do you dip us in misery,
With no time to rest or halt?
Minister of War,
We are the king’s fiers teeth
Why do you dip us in misery,
When our mothers lack food?
Meditation
These words warn against violence, against machismo and against arrogance.
Yang is the force of fire and the masculine.
The two together can be very powerful but also very dangerous.
Harness these forces or, like the soldiers of the poem and proverb,
your anger, your strength, will be used by others who care little for you in reality.
Be controlling, not controlled.
