Yin & Metal
Proverb
Don’t butcher the donkey once he’s done his job on the mill.
Poem
Ah, so sweet and pretty are the songbirds,
Resting on the side of the hill there.
The way is long; my weapons are heavy;
I am exhausted; no good will come of this.
Meditation
Perhaps, this poem is saying, you should reflect upon what you are doing.
Listen to the birds rather than striving after victory.
As Christ said: Look at the Lilies of the Valley which neither spin nor sow;
yet God clothes them
This is the heart of this poem.
Likewise, when you are successfull,
do not despise or ignore those around you who made it possible.
Learn to reflect, relax and trust.
